all tracks from our first four demos in good quality (192 kbps mp3/wma) files. Also added a note about each recording session
so that you can get an impression on how the songs were brought to life. And you get four songs from the Permafrost days as
well! Enjoy!
March 20th:
No update for a long time so I
thought I'd just inform you on how things are at the moment. We're still waiting for the cover art for the album, so in good
old AL tradition things are taking at least twice as long as they should. In the meantime you can get to know some of the
bands on the Femme Metal Records roster here.
2008:
December 26th:
2008 ends
in the best possible way for Ancestral Legacy as we now can announce that we have signed with Femme
Metal Records!
FM records is a new UK based record label, not surprisingly focusing on metal bands featuring
female vocalists. Other bands on the label so far are Soulgrind, AraPacis and Brave.
Check out the label's MySpace page or regular websiteOur debut album "Nightmare Diaries"
will be out on FM records later this Winter or early Spring. We now have our webshop up and running, check out what we have to offer! Also made a little band section so you can see who actually plays in Ancestral
Legacy.
December 11th:
"Trapped Within The Words" now also can be purchased from CdBaby! Click on the link on the left to
go to the page.
November 7th:
One good and a bunch of bad news, let's start with the good one:
After a long delay we finally can introduce our new vocalist,
Isadora Cortina! Many of you are familiar with her already, as she's singing "Atrapada En Pesadillas"
on the EP. If not you can listen to the song on our Myspace profile. She's 20 years old (or young), from Mexico and will move to Norway permanently next year. She's got the future ahead
of her and though she's already very talented she will definitely grow to be a star in the upcoming years! Welcome aboard
Isa! Then there's the
bad stuff. Due to a few things, most important that the artwork wasn't finished in time, we are forced to postpone the release
of "Nightmare Diaries" till next year. We've also been working on making a t-shirt and hoodie with the EP design
for more than half a year now, but this has been like a Spinal Tap journey and we still haven't got them. Anyway we'll try
to have a webshop up and running when they have arrived.

September
21st:
With tears in her eyes Elin informed me earlier this week that she had
to leave Ancestral Legacy after six years in the band. After getting her second whiplash in a car accident last November there
have been little to no recovery, and she can not give what is required being in the band, and barely in most other situations
either. The rest of the band still wish her the best of luck and hope her health will be back to normal sooner or later, and
thanks for providing her wonderful voice on our demos, two EPs and the album "Nightmare Diaries", which will be
her swansong and out late this Autumn.
To all of our fans, please don't worry, as we have the replacement
already, though we won't reveal more right now, we'll tell you more when everything is 100% in place, within a couple of weeks
time.
Eddie Risdal and Ancestral Legacy.

a time simply because nothing is happening within the band. A few reviews of the EP are now up, and we will come back with
some info on a compilation album wich is out very soon.
April 26th:
You can now buy
the EP from the Femme Metal Webstore. It's situated in England, but of course ships world wide.

March 26th:
Two of the tracks from "Trapped
Within The Words" are now up at MySpace. Go and have a listen! This page is now as you can see pretty close to finished updated. A few more things will come soon
though.
March 18th:
The fourth and final studio report is finally
up. The EP is now in the printing, we'll expect it back some time early April.
February 21st:
Sorry for a delay in the update. We were forced to do some adjustments to some of the mixes, and
all songs were also remastered, but now we have everything finished when it comes to the songs. Next up is getting together
the whole package for the EP so it can be sent to print, as well as making a promo pack of the album for record labels. A
new MP3 and the last studio report will be up soon, but due to a shitload of obligations I just have to do this when I have
the time for it.
January 20th:
We're giving the mix some more
time than planned to make shure it sounds as it should. Mastering will be done next weekend.
January 1st:
Happy new year folks, we're starting
off with some great news! We're starting the mixing process in a week's time, it will take whatever time it takes to finish
it. We will also be separating the songs into TWO releases. Since the album has to take it's turn to a bunch of record labels
and under no circumstance will be released the first upcoming months we will gather the remaining songs that don't make it
to the album on and EP instead. This will be available as soon as possible, to give you someting to make the wait easier.
The songs on the EP must not be seen upon as leftovers or weaker than the rest, as we already a long time ago chose which
songs to record and which to not. More info on the EP coming pretty soon!
November 28th:
Some more pictures uploaded in
the Studio Diary.
November 17th:
Third studio update
is to be viewed on our Studio Diary page.
October 30th:

section is back (see "Media") with 20 mp3's for you. A new studio diary will also be posted soon. We're into the
finishing weeks of recording now.
